As I have stated before, the switching of platform from The Legacy of a Dreamer to The Hearts of the Fathers, have not been a easy one. Over the years I have been writing as it came up and looking at situations, reading news, meeting people, provided me in many, many subjects. It is like the columns in newspapers or magazines, no special focussed subjects but an overall function in writing. I loved it and know that the many that read it, did too.
The shift made me realize that when the function changed, the responsibility that come with it did too. I read the blogs and come to the “from nice to very good articles” as they reveals truth that can be essential for certain moments. Prophecies, biblical truth, insights, historical information that comes with it and serve a certain purpose.
As The Legacy of a Dreamer had all the elements, the transition to a new platform, together with the other transitions me and my family went through this last few months, brought me from an optional function (with an absolute called mandate) to a dedicated, focussed, 24/7, no longer optional mission that carries all the burdens of the “no turning back” task.
Reading this article about being a watchmen helped me (and hopefully you) to understand the vital importance of a mind shift about your calling in relation to the body of Christ and its condition.Being directly responsible for the loosing or winning of a battle. It goes for all our positions or functions in life as there is no such thing as being a father occasionally or a teacher, a brother or sister, a christian even or just a neighbor. When we life from the 24/7 demand of our function, we don’t just win little battles. We win the war!
The Watchman Anointing

The role of a watchman is one of utmost importance. Historically, a watchman would be appointed to sit on the wall of the city (Jerusalem) to watch and listen to anything that was happening outside of the wall. Jeremiah 21:6-7 says, “Go, set a watchman; let him announce what he sees. When he sees riders, horsemen in pair, riders on donkeys, riders on camels, let him listen diligently, very diligently.” The person that was appointed as a watchman would be the one that had the responsible of sounding the alarm when something was approaching.
Today, we are in desperate need for men and women that will arise and come under this watchman anointing! We live in an hour in which darkness is all around. The attacks of Satan and his legion of demons has been tucked under the table and labeled by modern medicine as sickness, disease, mental disorders, and natural phenomenon. Believers no longer put on the armor of God but instead put on the armor of secular humanism and skepticism. More believers are ready to retreat to their heavenly destination than to rage war against the schemes of Satan and see revival and awakening established in the earth.
The Lord is calling watchmen in the spirit of Ezekiel 3:16-21, “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from my mouth, you shall give them warning from me. If I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,’ and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, in order to save his life, that wicked person shall die for his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand. But if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, or from his wicked way, he shall die for his iniquity, but you will have delivered your soul. Again, if a righteous person turns from his righteousness and commits injustice, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die. Because you have not warned him, he shall die for his sin, and his righteous deeds that he has done shall not be remembered, but his blood I will require at your hand. But if you warn the righteous person not to sin, and he does not sin, he shall surely live, because he took warning, and you will have delivered your soul.”
The watchman anointing is not something that can be turned on and off whenever it feels convenient. The person that has received this calling must be consecrated to the Lord. They must spend hours in the secret place so that they may be able to hear the quiet promptings of the Fathers heart. Men and women will listen night and day for the Word of the Lord and will report what they hear. The Gospel will be proclaimed with power of signs and wonders and prophetic utterance. The supernatural will become the natural for these men and women carrying the mantle of a watchman. They will see the Lord begin to tear down walls and establish revival and awakening in the earth. Isaiah 52:8 says, “The voice of your watchmen—they lift up their voice; together they sing for you; for eye to eye they see the return of the Lord to Zion.”
Watchmen will rise up as Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers to equip the saints. They will be labeled men and women after God’s heart, because they will be able to see the heart of God! It is easy to look around and see the darkness that is present around every corner, but a generation will arise that will be able to see the Kingdom of God all around as Elisha did in 2 Kings 6:15-17. “When the servant of the man of God rose early in the morning and went out, behold, an army with horses and chariots was all around the city. And the servant said, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?” He said, “Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” Then Elisha prayed and said, “O LORD, please open his eyes that he may see.” So the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.”
Arise, O watchmen and seek the face of God! Pray earnestly that the Lord would begin to reveal the secrets of His kingdom to you. Go as Jesus commissioned and signs and wonders will follow! The Lord is awakening a generation that will no longer be satisfied without revival and awakening!
