Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.” (Malachi 4:5, 6 NKJV)
The great thing of a relationship is that, when you avoid limiting your way of thinking about the other, it is a life full of pleasant surprises.
You fall in love or you just meet or you get to know, in whatever way connecting to people, the secret is avoiding making a definite picture and worship the image you see. By doing so, you restrict the other to show “the more” they have/are also!
There are so many ways to read the Word and even this morning, (re)reading the subheading of my blog I realized the error in the way it can be read! We tend to think in actions, events, things we need to do in order to!
For instance, we say: “The church has to send more…” or “You must put more trust in…”. When we have an action mindset, the Word sounds totally different then living from the “waiting of the Lord” attitude or “walking in the finished works”!
The overwhelming times in the Bible where it says: I will, I send, I do, I come, I shall… referring to God’s part in our life, has to make us review our truth!
So, even in my subhead of the blog it is not supposed to say: turning the hearts... It has to be: and He will turn!
When Father God is looking at the condition of His creation, there is no way He remains silence. His totally obvious reaction is: What can I do to restore, rebuild, renew. His whole being cries out the re word, the new, the again I will!
Behold I will send… lest I have to come because of the conditions I observe to come and strike!
My God is the God that shape the conditions for returning. The God that remove the obstacle that limit our freedom. The God that goes all the way to give us all the reasons to be restored and free!
We can say: It is his or her own fault, it is by their own choice and, with a cold “sensible” heart, leave it there! But that is not my God. He leaves nothing undone to take away the restrictions as far it is in His legal right! He goes to the end, until IT IS FINISHED!
My writing is to help you rethink your mindsets, your conclusions and your reactions, so you will get the mind of Christ!
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. (Romans 12:2 NKJV)
