Releasing some random thoughts today.
For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there among them.” (Matthew 18:20 HCSB)
So it is about ‘togethering’ (I know, not a word), His name and at least more then me, where He suddenly makes it many, like the mathematics of: 2 fish + 5 bread + Jesus = thousands!
So my conclusion is then: you + me + Jesus = gathering! And when we add Spirit, it is invisible connected to the thousands, even the millions.
Why then do we let ‘them’ decide what is church. Why listening to the intimidating “where do you go“, “do you belong?“, “is this a principe issue?” questions that makes the “two and three” illegal!
I believe in a Spirit led movement, where the five will find the two or three in equipping the Body of Christ, as for too long they have been refused to enter the buildings!
Don’t you think God is able to answer those who ask? Don’t you think Jesus will find the house of the two or three or is He only be able to enter church doors? Why are we so worried about this ‘new thing’ He is doing?
Whats about the exclusive rights of (church) buildings and pulpits and headsets?
Dear people in persecution, “don’t you know that coming together in the basement of your house is not really a church and that Jesus has a problem finding your house since there is no visible sign on the roof and no official pastor“? At least thats what they want you to believe!
This father and mother, who daily has to make important and vital decisions about life and feeding and future, suddenly become disqualified when it concerns ‘church’ and the Word. Those two that became 3 or 4 or sometimes even 12 through the beauty of fellowship and love are so qualified to be parents but so (according to the professionals) totally not qualified to fulfill the assignment given by the most High: “These words that I am giving you today are to be in your heart. Repeat them to your children. Talk about them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Bind them as a sign on your hand and let them be a symbol on your forehead. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. (Deuteronomy 6:6-9 HCSB)”
So, whats my point?
Well, mainly to restore authority and legal right to the ‘house’, the ‘two or three’ and to pray that the five of Eph. 4:11, are spiritual aware enough to find the beauty of your house, whether it is physical or through the virtual reality.
The Living Room
A great new thing that is part of Gods new movement is often labeled as “the Living Room“! Beautiful Worship initiatives, where pure and simple worship is recorded in the houses, with people all over the room, standing on the stairs, walking around while the Spirit, not really limited to certain buildings, is filling the atmosphere. Amazing teachings, through the wonder of internet where teachers, not hired, and thus not afraid to be fired, are building the fellowships of the two and three and even the 21 and more.
It is a move of mature, spiritual responsible people that understand that fellowship is about more than buildings.
There was a time when the church bells where sounding as a voice over the cities, calling them in, but those bells were silenced in order not to ‘disturb’ the sleeping citizens. So, one day they will ask us when this movement happened and the only answer they will hear: While you were sleeping!
Yesterday I was reading about the worries over the large numbers of empty church buildings in my home country, the Netherlands and the degreasing numbers of attendance, but my suggestion is that we better rejoice in the growing numbers of hungry, gathering of two’s and three’s, since filling a building is not the same as “coming together”!
And just for the record, this is not one or the other, not about getting rid of the buildings and the beautiful gatherings of the many that come together to worship and be edified. It is to get rid of the monster we created and the exclusive right we have given it. It is about taking away the lie of the building and restoring the authority of the Body.
It remind me of a prophetic word that we received in 2009, where I hope you will understand that this is not about taking down, but about adding and giving clarity about the new thing God is doing, so we can embrace instead of reject! It can help you to give respect to those who has to, because they know it is God!
Sweden
Sweden is one of the keys for Europe coming to the Lord. You could say… as goes Sweden, so goes Finland and Norway and other nations in Europe. Many prayers have been sown into the land and these will not return void. There is a darkness over Sweden that will clear. Part of Sweden’s original destiny from the Lord is to showcase purity and simplicity and there is a time coming when there will be a backlash against humanism and revival will come to the church. Sweden will be more than a conqueror through Christ and this land will show forth the manifest presence of the Lord. Sweden will be a nation that is a harbinger of spring (as a robin sings of the new life of spring). Sweden will “sing” in strength of the new thing of God and will trumpet inward and outward of His grace and mercy. She will be a living harbinger of the goodness of God. His river is increasing there and will be full to overflowing. Many churches were seen coming to life and even new ones will spring up. Some of these were seen coming out of darkness and becoming bright with the truth of Jesus. Their lamp-stands looked like they were dusty, but the light was beginning to shine and become brighter. God destined Sweden to be a nation that proclaims the gospel of the Kingdom. They also are a nation destined to be a voice of one crying in the wilderness to prepare the way for the coming of the Lord. Isaiah 55:1 is the Lord’s wooing to Sweden.
A proof of my point about the 5 and the Living Room
There is no way you can pay to get this apostolic/prophetic teacher in your church! And if he may come, only those with the money can attend the conference. But through the blessing of the internet, these guys show up in your Living Room, declaring/releasing a word that blow your socks off!
