The heart of a father

“My son, don’t forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commands;” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3:1‬

Not really sure about your ‘house’, but My House…

When God is adding His name to a house, He is giving some requirements for that house, because His House is called a House of Prayer! As if He would say: Not really sure about your ‘house’, but My House…

What would a ‘house of prayer’ look like, or maybe better said, sound like? What are the conditions in order to be recognised as a House of Prayer and I don’t mean recognised by men, but being recognised by God!

Being recognised by men in a way can be so easy, since we have strategies to make that happen. We create our ‘followers’ through smart marketing tools and mostly with the purpose of influence! We impress by manipulating and create clips by selective picking of moments. ‘Telling’ a story that they would buy as at the end, of course, we are disappointed (dis-appointed: mis-lead) and they are in charge!  We put signs with The Name, create websites, become impressive present and make them believe that that is The Thing!

For me the most beautiful moment in History is when The Man was Recognised! This moment where this (until then) unknown Person entered the water, went under and the Recognition From Heaven was Shouted Out: THIS IS MY SON!

Meanly He said: Not sure about your man, but My Man… dies!

In a way, this is about the requirements, the conditions of being called His House: Dying, offering, Prayer, knees, crying out, standing in between, intercession… House of Prayer!

Just some reminders:
Matthew 21:12-13 Jesus went into the temple complex and drove out all those buying and selling in the temple. He overturned the money changers’ tables and the chairs of those selling doves. And He said to them, “It is written, My house will be called a house of prayer. But you are making it a den of thieves!”
Isaiah 56:7 I will bring them to My holy mountain and let them rejoice in My house of prayer.

Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be acceptable on My altar, for My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.”

A very interesting scripture that I just want to mention and hope you will dig into it is:
John 14:1-4 “Your heart must not be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if not, I would have told you. I am going away to prepare a place for you. If I go away and prepare a place for you, I will come back and receive you to Myself, so that where I am you may be alsoYou know the way to where I am going.”

So, when “My House” is about Prayer and Jesus is mentioning the many DWELLING (Psalm 133) places, our heart better not be troubled! We will know where to DWELL with Him!

So much to say since my spirit started to receive and reproduce (multiply), but I trust you will have the same experience!
