Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Silent Saturday, names so significant defining the days in the history of our faith!
I try to understand the emotions and tension on the day of Jesus’ “death”.
The pain of His family, the despair of His followers, the struggle of His betrayer…
While death was the actual physical situation and silence was the result, the earth in real was trembling. As grieve and disappointment was the obvious situation, the battle, hidden for the most of them, actually started and hell broke loose as it had to let go its fiercely grip on mankind.
This day, this Saturday, but more precise this Sabbath, known as the day God where rested became the day of the Job to be done.
As before, “It is finished” seemed to be the end of expectations and the scattering of hope, in fact it was the start of an invisible spiritual cleansing where the resurrection was the actual “Finished” part.
So, I try to imagine the noise, the screaming of darkness, the defeat of death, the sound of the final battle, while all in the “real world” were captured by the loss of their Loved One, their Hero.
In the overwhelming “sounds” of fear and distraction today that are penetrating our safe environments, in the midst of the corona (crown) crisis, I pray that we hear the actual “sound” of His battle, His defeating of systems and structures and man made securities.
When God is judging our falsely created independent safety, in the midst of this lockdown, do NOT underestimate and misjudge what is actually going on in the spiritual realm.
As His cry was on the day before dying:
“Can’t you stick it out with Me a single hour? Stay alert, be in prayer so you don’t wander into temptation without even knowing you’re in danger.’” Matthew 26: 40, 41
His call today is the same as many of us, with the rest of the world think it’s ok to “rest” and sleep since the media and the crisis is exhausting us.
Screens are fighting for our attention and cheap subscriptions and ever free options are delivered to distract us and keep us from staying alert!
The past 40 days, thank God, a huge remnant was awake, sharp, training their ears and avoiding the distraction of soul and body by a global prayer and fasting. It feels safe to know that so many of the body of Christ are sharp in their spirit and available for His purpose today. Men and women that understand God’s timetable and who will not go back to normal as this crisis will go away.
This (Saturday, sabbath) is the day of seemly silence, but the darkness again is loosing its grip and more aware of its defeat!

As the 3rd Day is at hand, it’s not just another 3rd day, the next Easter.
No, it’s a defining 3rd Day that needs to be Celebrated in the houses and not in the buildings. The real victory, although not yet understood by the church, is the orchestrated cleansing and restoration of God’s purpose back into the houses.
So, again, I challenge you today to use your spiritual imagination and try to understand the real battle in this seemly Silent Saturday!
And He said, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.” Mark 4:9 TLV
