The heart of a father

“My son, don’t forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commands;” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3:1‬

The Apostolic Nature of the Church Has Been Hijacked

What a deep and confronting word by Stephen Struebing from Maranatha Global!

Time to leave…

I post this with the danger of two extreme reactions: 1. The misunderstanding of me not liking Church and 2. The extreme reaction of isolating self with all the consequences that follow it!

None is true/right as the full reading of this article will challenge you to the full! Allow yourself to take a leap and be pushed to the limits!

Time to leave

It is clear that, as the madness spreads and the church just wrings its hands, it is time for the eagles to leave the turkey-yard.  You know who you are, you who are an eagle.  There’s a fire inside you that you can’t put out.  You are ruined for ‘Church-As-Usual-Incorporated.’

For too long you’ve been told to be a good little birdie.  “Don’t ruffle any feathers!” But you just can’t stomach the stale kernels they toss to you.  You must have fresh meat.  All around you, the turkeys peck at the ground.  But all you can see are the clouds and the sky, where you know you belong. Ignorance often comes disguised as tradition (the way I think about things). Often my preconceived notions are wrong; and apart for God’s will in my life. As a result, I remain stuck in the framework of my own thinking. I have gone through periods of blissful ignorance (preconceived notions, mindsets, beliefs, and biases), only to be ‘awakened’ to something far better. Rick Joyner calls it The tyranny of the familiar,’ a apt term to a formidable foe (my own limited opinion). Continue reading

The Restoration and Rise of Families!

By Katie Barker

“I am raising up families who will minister together. These families will be markers of all I will bring forth in My Body, for I desire to see spiritual mothers and fathers equipping and releasing those coming after them into the fullness of the destiny I have for them. I desire to see an honoring of the path pioneered by the previous generation. Unity will be the hallmark of these families and it will flow from a solid foundation of love and a firm standing on the truth of My Word. Watch for the rise of these families.”

I heard the Lord say, “I am restoring families and the key role of the family. One of the greatest ploys of the enemy has been the degradation of family, and with this has come a departure from the fullness I intended for My people. With this has come a departure from My ways. Many are walking with deep hurt and mistrust but I am coming to heal wounds and bring restoration.” Continue reading

Lord, remember my nation

Dear faithful prayer warriors,

As I used my time this morning, I was suddenly overwhelmed by the faithfulness that is showed in the schedule of our prayer altar at
Wonderful constant names showing up on the most impossible hours with this one passion: “Lord, remember my nation!

Was reminded of the story that goes when many students at the Kortebo Missionary Bible School we’re walking that little lane from school to the lake, crying out and asking the Lord for the right timing, the right heart and the right nation to go to. Continue reading

The Miracle for our Nation is in Your House!

Received this very significant word this morning by Bill Yount.
Asked him to publish it with the adjustment to Sweden.

The Hidden Power in our Families
I believe we have overlooked and underestimated the awesome power that is hidden in our families. When God created us He placed us in a family. There is something about a family atmosphere that generates the power for us to subdue the earth and bring His Kingdom into the affairs of this world. I believe satan feared the seed of the woman–for it would have the power to destroy him. He well knew that even our children would contend with him in the gate (see Psalm 127:5). I believe this is why the Lord’s desire has always been to “set the solitary (the lonely, widows, orphans and the fatherless) in families” (Psalm 68:6). Continue reading

House of Prayer

Every now and then it is so good to re-read, to go back and rejoice in the progression of time. Words I wrote in the time of absence and passionate longing. Words we declared over the lack and the silence!
Today I can honestly say that movement is noticeable and change is visible. Hearts are connecting hugely and a sound of Prayer and Worship is arising in the Cities and especially through the initiative being heard in the houses.
Praise God!

Whats next… Revival or Wedding?

In my prayer time this early morning, the Lord brought the following blogpost in mind. It’s a post of 2012 where we prepared for the wedding of our youngest daughter. It was great to reread it and I hope you understand my repost!
Blessings in the challenge of reading!

The Sound of Reformation is Coming ‘Outside’ the Church

Restoring Original Truth

A reformation has begun in the Church. This reformation will be known historically for the sound it makes – the sound of truth spoken in love. What is coming will be simple, so simple it could be missed if we expect it to create another top-heavy and complicated way of living out our faith.

Major reformation in the Church must take place from time to time in order to restore original truth and to help us keep pace with the expanding revelation of God. It is never a one-time event. A living faith must reform if it is to grow and have a continual Kingdom impact in every sphere of culture. Continue reading

The Church, Abortion and Future Generations!

Today I felt to write on the delicate subject of Abortion!

Youtube will show us the many clips about how awful the practice of this huge multimillion activity daily is. The saddest thing of course is the fact that they easily, without bad conscious can defend it for the sake of Free-Choice, and wellness for the mother.

Well, I am not going to get there since I know God will judge the nation and in fact is judging them heavily! No, this post is not about them but about us. Continue reading

Who is Qualified…

Isaiah 22:15-25 The Lord God of Hosts said: “Go to Shebna, that steward who is in charge of the palace, and say to him: What are you doing here? Who authorized you to carve out a tomb for yourself here, carving your tomb on the height and cutting a crypt for yourself out of rock? Look, you strong man! The Lordis about to shake you violently. He will take hold of you, wind you up into a ball, and sling you into a wide land. There you will die, and there your glorious chariots will be — a disgrace to the house of your lord. I will remove you from your office; you will be ousted from your position.
“On that day I will call for my servant, Eliakim son of Hilkiah. I will clothe him with your robe and tie your sash around him. I will put your authority into his hand, and he will be like a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem and to the House of Judah. I will place the key of the House of David on his shoulder; what he opens, no one can close; what he closes, no one can open. I will drive him, like a peg, into a firm place. He will be a throne of honor for his father’s house. They will hang on him the whole burden of his father’s house: the descendants and the offshoots — all the small vessels, from bowls to every kind of jar. On that day” — the declaration of the Lord of Hosts — “the peg that was driven into a firm place will give way, be cut off, and fall, and the  load on it will be destroyed.” Indeed, the Lord has spoken.

When we read the story preceding these verses, what a profound message does it give to what is happening all over the world today.
No I am not referring to Israel but to the way Continue reading

What You Need to Know about Prayer

by Tim Challies

What does prayer do?

Prayer Builds Relationships
The whole thrust of this section and chapter is this: Christianity offers a genuine re- lationship with the living God. I don’t think I can say it too many times! Christianity promises that you can and will encounter the one true and living God. You can have a thriving and growing relationship with him. You can restore the relationship you were meant to have with him, which was disrupted by sin. Continue reading

About Birth, Choice and Grace

Yesterday morning, while taking a long and warm shower, somehow these words stuck to me, refusing to be flushed away by the streaming water. The words kept speaking to me and I took the decision to explain the words that I always use to sign my mails:

Dutch by Birth, Sweden by Choice, Kingdom by Grace

Yes, 65 years ago in 1951, The Netherlands was my birthing-ground, the place where my parents received me in total love and in a growing family. Three brothers preceded me and one brother and a sister would follow. It was a family in a very insignificant house, a very insignificant street and a little sailors-village on a riverside. Dutch Reformed, praying mother an a father that was away, always traveling the seas as a diver. I have a vague memory of my youth and I always questioned myself being part of the family. When you are surrounded by a lot of muscles and strength, being a tiny, an even skinny wide-eared young man, I had all the reasons to doubt my original part of the family! But I was and somehow I always felt myself being  in God’s spotlight, set apart, different… At least that is part of the sense that stayed over time. Continue reading

My Interest in the USA Election 2016

People have been asking me why I am so “in favor” of Donald Trump as this guy is not a… and is… and does… and says… and so on.
Mainly what they mean is, “have you read the papers?”.
Well to be honest, I have and I do read every morning many, many newspapers, many headlines from many, many different news-streams. Media is my passion and I love to read, so yes I have and still do!

My biggest concern is the total lack of discernment in the reading, the spoiled way of “headlines and one-liner” attitudes Continue reading

Aren’t We All…

Listening to this song, while typing the words, I am so glad that it is my keyboard in front of me and not a piece of paper! It would have been soaked by the tears that are caused by the lyrics!

Aren’t we all in that huge need and aren’t we all in the habit to create our saviors, our fathers, our idols and our truth!

When you make your image about others in the hope they solve the need through the function you “created” for them! All birthed from this huge tendency wanting to see, to make visible and to have the certainty of life! Continue reading

The Hearts of the Children

By Mike Parsons

Our fathers were unwilling to be obedient to him, but repudiated him and in their hearts turned back to Egypt. (Acts 7:39).

A whole generation saw their home as Egypt and not the Promised Land, because they saw themselves as slaves, not sons. How do we see ourselves? Are we looking to our past to define us, or are we believing what God says about us and looking to our future? The fact is, we tend to look the way we’re going. Continue reading
