The heart of a father

“My son, don’t forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commands;” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3:1‬

About Gates and the Orphan Spirit

I am reading and writing these days much about Gates and Gatekeepers. About Cities and their  Safety. About Walls and their so needed Restoration.
It’s a subject that triggers me. An issue that has been even in political agendas but… very, very silent on from the pulpits of our church meetings! When I mention it, people look at me as if I am an alien. They try to figure out if it is about keeping people out of countries or poor refugees from influencing my safety! Many people easily go with the conclusions of the Media and build their opinion by reading the headlines, not understanding that the message about safety and restoration is a Word send from Heaven, which is not picked up by the Church and therefor adopted by the world. It’s what happens again and again.

When I was reading the following article/teaching/revelation by Mike Parsons, I just added the gate part in the header as he somewhere in the article talks about “the gateways in our spirit, soul and body”. It’s an encouragement to at least be a keeper of the gates in your life and the lives of those in your sphere of influence!

I pray that the article will bless you as it did to me! Continue reading

About Gates

It is so much about Gates, about safety and daily unsafe approaching, about confusion and responsibility!

I am pondering on the subject, reading books and searching the Word!

I have been writing before as I hit the Gates tag in my blogs and… Maybe you should too before I repeat myself! Just journey with me back to those impressions before we add new revelation to it!

It’s to Silent in the City

“I will not keep silent because of Zion, and I will not keep still because of Jerusalem, until her righteousness shines like a bright light and her salvation, like a flaming torch.

Nations will see your righteousness and all kings, your glory. You will be called by a new name that the Lord’s mouth will announce. You will be a glorious crown in the Lord’s hand, and a royal diadem in the palm of your God. You will no longer be called Deserted, and your land will not be called Desolate; instead, you will be called My Delight is in Her, and your land Married; for the Lord delights in you, and your land will be married. For as a young man marries a young woman, so your sons will marry you; and as a groom rejoices over his bride, so your God will rejoice over you.  Continue reading

Gatekeepers pay attention!

A lot of the conversations these days has been about our personal responsibility and the functions that reflect it. Gatekeepers, watchmen, fatherhood, motherhood, church, platform, raising your children, words that come up when the church is shifting from a ‘platform performance’ into the maturing/edifying Body of Christ. No longer the ‘one-man show’ but taking back the responsibility that comes with the function! Continue reading

Nehemiah’s Concern

I wrote the header of this block some days ago and never finished as the title dropped in my spirit by seeing the efforts of so many beautiful young churches. Nehemiah was a man with an overview insight and a sensitive heart, which is a rare but essential combination. He saw the building efforts, heard about the situation of his people and directly reacted with the gift that was given to him: a strategic builder, submitted to the heart of God.

The need of a safe environment when a ‘city’ is in constant danger through the attacks of a persistant enemy!

Today I was rereading a mail by a young friend who googled on Gates, walls and watchmen as he was sending me this graet link. I believe it are the right words that I can add to the “Nehemiah’s concern” impression! Continue reading

To get rid of this Monster

Releasing some random thoughts today.

For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there among them.” (‭Matthew‬ ‭18‬:‭20‬ HCSB)

So it is about ‘togethering’ (I know, not a word), His name and at least more then me, where He suddenly makes it many, like the mathematics of: 2 fish + 5 bread + Jesus = thousands!
So my conclusion is then: you + me + Jesus = gathering! And when we add Spirit, it is invisible connected to the thousands, even the millions. Continue reading

2015: A Year of Divine Grace & Favor

By Matthew Prewett

For about seven years now I have been looking forward with expectation of what 2015 would bring. I have known that it will be a year of greatness for the Body of Christ and a time of great grace for His Church. Right now I hear the Spirit shouting “grace, grace, and more grace be upon My people!” I see divine measures of grace and favor being poured out upon God’s people in this coming year.

This is a time of restoration as God is bringing recompense upon the wickedness that has been inflicted upon the Body of Christ. When the world attacks us for being Christian they are attacking Christ Himself. We have seen an increase of an anti-christ spirit being manifested across the nations and the Lamb upon the throne will come to our aid. Continue reading

This Generational Faith

Deuteronomy 6:4-9: Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.

As I wrote in my last blog, a wonderful awareness of responsibility is arising Continue reading

Songs of Ascents (3) – Prayer for Jerusalem

Psalm 122

A Prayer for Jerusalem

A Davidic song of ascents.

I rejoiced with those who said to me,
“Let us go to the house of the Lord.”
Our feet are standing
within your gates, Jerusalem—

Jerusalem, built as a city should be,
solidly joined together,
where the tribes, Yahweh’s tribes, go up
to give thanks to the name of Yahweh.
(This is an ordinance for Israel.)
There, thrones for judgment are placed,
thrones of the house of David.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
“May those who love you prosper;
may there be peace within your walls,
prosperity within your fortresses.”
Because of my brothers and friends,
I will say, “Peace be with you.”
Because of the house of the Lord our God,
I will seek your good.

Not to Strike but to Heal!

Two verses came to my mind that I wanted to share with you:
Ezekiel 22:30 “I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one.
Malachi 4:6 He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their sons, and the hearts of the sons to their fathers; or else I will come and strike the land with total destruction.
The great thing of what is happening in our distracted but so beautiful and destined nation is that the Lord FOUND people who are standing in the gap and that many, many hearts of the fathers are turning and many hearts of the sons are turning and therefor, our faithful and loving Father is coming but not to strike but to heal!

A Story of Importance

An Oracle against Jerusalem

1 An oracle against the Valley of Vision
What’s the matter with you? Why have all of you gone up to the rooftops?
2 The noisy city, the jubilant town is filled with revelry.
Your dead did not die by the sword; they were not killed in battle.
3 All your rulers have fled together, captured without a bow.
All your fugitives were captured together; they had fled far away.
4 Therefore I said, “Look away from me! Let me weep bitterly!
Do not try to comfort me about the destruction of my dear people.”
5 For the Lord GOD of Hosts had a day of tumult, trampling, and confusion
in the Valley of Vision — people shouting and crying to the mountains;
6 Elam took up a quiver with chariots and horsemen, and Kir uncovered the shield.
7 Your best valleys were full of chariots, and horsemen were positioned at the gates.
8 He removed the defences of Judah.

On that day you looked to the weapons in the House of the Forest. 9 You saw that there were many breaches in the walls of the city of David. You collected water from the lower pool. 10 You counted the houses of Jerusalem so that you could tear them down to fortify the wall. 11 You made a reservoir between the walls for the waters of the ancient pool, but you did not look to the One who made it, or consider the One who created it long ago.

12 On that day the Lord GOD of Hosts called for weeping, for wailing, for shaven heads, and for the wearing of sackcloth.
13 But look: joy and gladness, butchering of cattle, slaughtering of sheep, eating of meat, and drinking of wine — “Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die! ”
14The LORD of Hosts has directly revealed to me:
“This sin of yours will nevers be wiped out.”
The Lord GOD of Hosts has spoken.

An Oracle against Shebna

15 The Lord GOD of Hosts said: “Go to Shebna, that steward who is in charge of the palace, and say to him: 16 What are you doing here? Who authorized you to carve out a tomb for yourself here, carving your tomb on the height and cutting a crypt for yourself out of rock? 17 Look, you strong man! The LORD is about to shake you violently. He will take hold of you, 18 wind you up into a ball, and sling you into a wide land. There you will die, and there your glorious chariots will be — a disgrace to the house of your lord. 19 I will remove you from your office; you will be ousted from your position.

20 “On that day I will call for my servant, Eliakim son of Hilkiah. 21 I will clothe him with your robe and tie your sash around him. I will put your authority into his hand, and he will be like a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem and to the House of Judah.

22 I will place the key of the House of David on his shoulder; what he opens, no one can close; what he closes, no one can open.

23 I will drive him, like a peg, into a firm place. He will be a throne of honor for his father’s house. 24 They will hang on him the whole burden of his father’s house: the descendants and the offshoots — all the small vessels, from bowls to every kind of jar. 25 On that day” — the declaration of the LORD of Hosts — “the peg that was driven into a firm place will give way, be cut off, and fall, and the load on it will be destroyed.” Indeed, the LORD has spoken.

Words from Wisdom

Proverbs 1

Wisdom’s Plea

20 Wisdom calls out in the street;
she raises her voice in the public squares.
21 She cries out above the commotion;
she speaks at the entrance of the city gates:
22 “How long, foolish ones, will you love ignorance?
How long will you mockers enjoy mocking
and you fools hate knowledge?
23 If you respond to my warning,
then I will pour out my spirit on you
and teach you my words.
24 Since I called out and you refused,
extended my hand and no one paid attention,
25 since you neglected all my counsel
and did not accept my correction,
26 I, in turn, will laugh at your calamity.
I will mock when terror strikes you,
27 when terror strikes you like a storm
and your calamity comes like a whirlwind,
when trouble and stress overcome you.
28 Then they will call me, but I won’t answer;
they will search for me, but won’t find me.
29 Because they hated knowledge,
didn’t choose to fear the Lord,
30 were not interested in my counsel,
and rejected all my correction,
31 they will eat the fruit of their way
and be glutted with their own schemes.
32 For the turning away of the inexperienced will kill them,
and the complacency of fools will destroy them.
33 But whoever listens to me will live securely
and be free from the fear of danger.”
